Dual-Power Pencil Sharpener

The Zmol zmol029 is a compact electric sharpener that runs from two AA batteries or a USB connection. It accepts standard 6-8 mm graphite and coloured pencils and offers three selectable point profiles for writing or drawing tasks. The unit weighs 0.168 kilograms and measures 8.1026 by 8.3058 by 10.2108 centimetres.

Classroom, Office, and Mobile Use

This sharpener suits students, teachers, and professionals who need a portable device for everyday pencils. It is not intended for users who require sharpening of very soft artist pencils, crayons, or leads outside the 6-8 mm range. Buyers needing a heavy-duty desktop model with a larger shavings reservoir should consider a different form factor.

Tungsten-Steel Cutter with Three Modes

The cutting mechanism uses a tungsten-steel knife holder designed for longer edge life compared with ordinary holders. Three modes — sharp, medium, and blunt — let the user match the point to the task without changing tools. A safety interlock stops the motor when the lid is opened.

Questions about this item

What comes with the Zmol zmol029 and what must be purchased separately?

The sharpener unit is included; two LR6 AA batteries and a 5V 2A USB power plug are not included and must be bought separately.

Which sharpening mode should I choose for writing versus drawing?

Use the sharp mode for writing; select medium or blunt mode for drawing with 6–8 mm graphite or coloured pencils.

How does the 6–8 mm pencil size range work in practice?

The sharpener accepts standard No.2 graphite pencils and coloured pencils between 6 mm and 8 mm diameter; softer pencils and crayons are not recommended as they may fracture or clog the mechanism.
