Battery-Powered Sharpener for Home and Classroom

The Zmol zmol032 electric pencil sharpener runs on two AA batteries or the included AC adapter, accepting 100-240 V input and delivering 5.0 V at 2000 mA. It handles graphite and colour pencils from 6 mm to 12 mm diameter, making it suitable for standard No.2 pencils and larger artist pencils. The pink ABS housing weighs 0.222 kg and measures 8.2042 x 8.3058 x 13.7922 cm, so it fits easily on a desk or in a bag for outdoor use.

Three Sharpening Modes with Auto-Stop

Users select sharp, medium or blunt tips to match writing or drawing needs, and the motor stops automatically once the point is formed, preventing over-sharpening and waste. A full sharpening cycle takes roughly 3-5 seconds. The unit is not recommended for soft pencils or crayons, which can fracture and clog the mechanism, limiting its usefulness for very young children or specialised art media.

Compact Design with Safety Features

Four large non-slip pads keep the sharpener stable during operation, while a lid-open power-off switch cuts power immediately when the shavings tray is opened. The AC adapter frees the user from buying batteries for stationary setups, yet battery power remains available for classrooms, offices or travel where outlets are scarce. Buyers needing a heavy-duty sharpener for continuous high-volume use or for leads outside the 6-12 mm range should consider a larger desktop model.

Questions about this item

Will the 5.0 V 2000 mA AC adapter work with the 100-240 V mains in my older building?

Yes, the included adapter accepts a 100-240 V input range, so it is compatible with standard UK and EU mains supplies.

How can I confirm the three sharpening modes are functioning after I plug it in?

Select sharp, medium or blunt on the mode switch, insert a 6-12 mm pencil and press down; the motor should stop automatically once the chosen point is reached, typically within 3-5 seconds.

Does the box contain the two AA batteries mentioned for portable use, or must I buy them separately?

The package includes the sharpener, the AC adapter and a shavings tray; two AA batteries are not supplied and must be purchased separately for battery-powered operation.
