Zoom BUSYLIGHT-UC-LYNC Visual Indicator

The Zoom BUSYLIGHT-UC-LYNC is a visual signalling accessory designed for office environments. It connects to a computer and displays coloured light alerts driven by supported communication software. The unit offers magnetic and adhesive mounting options for flexible placement on monitors or desk surfaces. An audible alarm function provides an additional notification layer for incoming events.

For UC users needing presence awareness

This accessory suits professionals using Cisco Jabber, Microsoft Skype for Business or Lync who want a clear, external status light visible to colleagues. It is not intended for users of other unified communications platforms lacking explicit support in the specifications. Buyers requiring multi-device switching or integration with unlisted software should consider alternative solutions. The device focuses solely on visual and audible alerting for the named applications.

Questions about this item

How do I install the magnetic mount, and which surface preparation step is often missed?

Attach the magnetic mount to a clean, flat metal surface; the step often missed is wiping the area with isopropyl alcohol first so the adhesive bonds securely.

What maintenance will the adhesive mount need over time?

If the adhesive loses grip, clean the surface again and apply a fresh adhesive pad; the LED unit itself has no user-serviceable parts.
