ZOPPLM WM189 Lightning Lavalier Kit

This wireless lavalier system includes two clip-on transmitters and a Lightning receiver for iPhone 14 and earlier models. It targets creators recording vlogs, interviews, podcasts or live streams directly to an iOS device without cables or Bluetooth pairing.

Sponge windscreen and deadcat covers plus DSP

High-density sponge windscreens and furry deadcat covers ship with each transmitter to suppress wind and handling noise. Onboard DSP processing further reduces background sound while the receiver’s headphone jack enables real-time monitoring with instant switching between standard, reverb and mute modes.

Lightning port compatibility

The receiver uses a male Lightning connector so it only fits iPhone 14 and earlier or iPad models with Lightning ports; it will not work with iPhone 15 or 16 series. Each transmitter clips 360 degrees on collars or gear, but the system supports one receiver at a time, so multi-camera setups needing simultaneous feeds cannot use this kit.

Questions about this item

What accessories wear out first on the WM189 lapel mic?

The high-density sponge and deadcat windscreens are the replaceable items; they degrade with heavy outdoor use and can be swapped to keep noise reduction effective.

What limits continuous recording time on the WM189?

Battery life on each transmitter is the first constraint; the supplier notes "Power All Day" but gives no hour figure, so plan for a recharge during very long sessions.

How hot or noisy does the WM189 get when used all day?

The tiny clip-on units produce no audible fan noise and stay cool to the touch; only the iPhone itself warms up during extended recording.
