Standard Duty Tarp 10 x 20 ft

This standard duty tarp measures 10 by 20 feet and is made from polyester coated cotton canvas. It is designed for general covering tasks where a breathable, water resistant barrier is needed. The jade green colour provides low visibility in outdoor settings.

Finished size 9 ft 6 in x 19 ft 6 in

The finished dimensions are approximately six inches shorter on each side than the cut size, so buyers should plan coverage accordingly. Double stitched seams and brass grommets spaced 24 inches apart reinforce the edges for tie down points. This construction suits temporary shelters, equipment covers or ground protection.

15 mil thickness and mildew resistance

At 15 mil thick with a 15 oz per square yard fabric weight, the tarp resists tearing under sustained wind or load better than lighter sheets. Mildew resistance helps the material survive damp storage without degrading. It is not breathable, insulated or high visibility, so it will not suit applications requiring airflow or safety marking.

Questions about this item

How much finished width does the 10 ft by 20 ft tarp lose after hemming?

The finished width is 9 ft 6 in, so the hem takes about 6 in off the 10 ft cut size.

What is the correct way to secure the brass grommets spaced every 24 in?

Thread rope or bungee cords through each 0.5 in brass grommet; the common mistake is skipping grommets, which concentrates wind load and tears the double-stitched seams.

When should the 15 mil polyester coated cotton canvas be replaced?

Replace it when the green fabric shows pervasive mildew despite the resistant treatment, or when water no longer beads on the water-resistant surface.
