Packaging Scale

These open poly bags measure 40 inches by 18 inches and come in a case pack of 250 units. They are made from low-density polyethylene at a nominal 2 mil thickness. The clear material allows quick visual identification of contents for shipping or storage operations.

Thickness Tolerance

The manufacturer specifies a mil thickness range of 1.75 to 2 mil across the production run. This variance means individual bags may be slightly thinner or thicker than the nominal rating. Users should verify the range meets the puncture resistance or load requirements of their specific application.

Compliance Restriction

The product carries California Proposition 65 warnings for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. It is FDA compliant for food contact but restricted from sale in certain states. Buyers needing unrestricted interstate distribution or Proposition 65-free packaging must select an alternative product.

Questions about this item

What does the 2 mil thickness mean for everyday use?

The 2 mil rating falls in the 1.75 to 2 mil range and gives a lightweight barrier that resists dust and moisture while staying easy to tear and seal.

How do the 40 by 18 inch dimensions work on a shelf or in a bin?

Each bag opens to a full 40 inch length and 18 inch width with a flat bottom so it sits upright and fills the volume without gussets.

What does FDA compliant mean for these LDPE bags?

The low-density polyethylene meets FDA requirements for direct food contact so the bags can hold produce, baked goods or packaged ingredients.
