Clear polycarbonate visor for splash protection

The Zoro Select 4540 face shield uses a transparent polycarbonate visor measuring 11 7/8 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches high and .02 inches thick. A foam barrier on the headgear adds a cushion between the frame and the forehead. The hook-and-loop suspension adjusts quickly for a secure fit during general-purpose tasks.

Lightweight frame keeps heat and weight low

The open design allows air to circulate freely around the face, so the visor does not trap warmth during extended wear. With no motorised parts or sealed edges, the assembly adds negligible noise to the environment. The thin polycarbonate sheet keeps the overall mass minimal, reducing neck strain over long shifts.

Foam barrier and adjustable strap improve comfort

The included foam strip lines the forehead contact point to absorb perspiration and prevent pressure marks. The hook-and-loop suspension lets the wearer tighten or loosen the fit in seconds without tools. No additional visors, coatings or mounting hardware are supplied with this assembly.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the hook-and-loop suspension to the headgear, and what step do people miss?

Thread the hook-and-loop straps through the headgear slots and press firmly; the step often missed is aligning the foam barrier flush against the forehead before tightening.

Which part of the Zoro Select 4540 will need replacement first with regular use?

The polycarbonate visor at 0.02 in thickness is the wear item; replace it when scratches or haze reduce visibility.

What is the first limitation you hit during extended wear of this face shield?

The 5 3/4 in visor height limits downward coverage, so splatter or debris from low angles can reach the face during long sessions.
