Zoro Select Edge Protector 24in Pack

The Zoro Select 56JM17 edge protector is a medium-duty paperboard strip measuring 24 inches long with a 2 by 2 inch profile. It is designed to shield box edges and corners from strap tension and impact during shipping. Each pack contains 160 white pieces for high-volume mailroom use.

Sustained Load Protection

The fibreboard construction resists crushing when straps are tensioned over long transit periods. A thickness of .16 inches distributes force across the 2-inch wings, preventing the strap from cutting into carton walls. This maintains load integrity on palletised shipments that endure stacking pressure for days.

Lightweight Handling

White paperboard keeps the protector light so it adds negligible weight to freight calculations. The smooth surface reduces friction when straps are pulled tight, lowering the effort needed to secure a load. No sharp edges or coatings mean handlers can apply and remove the strips quickly without gloves.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 24 in edge protector generate when used all day?

The fibreboard edge protector produces no heat during use because it is a passive packaging material.

What other items are required for the 56JM17 edge protector to function?

No additional items are needed; the protectors are applied directly to pallet edges or box corners by hand.

Will the .16 in thick medium-duty protectors work with older strapping tools the buyer already owns?

Yes, the 2 in by 2 in profile fits standard strapping and banding equipment commonly used in shipping departments.
