Zoro Select 3-Inch Poly Tubing

This clear polyethylene tubing comes on a cored roll measuring twelve inches in diameter with a three-inch core. It provides two thousand nine hundred feet of continuous length at a thickness of one point five mil. The material is low-density polyethylene rated for temperatures between minus sixty and one hundred eighty degrees Fahrenheit.

Replaces Pre-Cut Bag Stock

Continuous tubing eliminates the need to stock multiple bag sizes because each length can be cut and sealed to fit the item. The jump is worthwhile when packing volumes vary daily and pre-made bags create waste or delays. FDA-compliant material allows direct contact with food products without additional liners.

Fits Heat-Sealer Workstations

The three-inch width feeds through standard impulse or constant-heat sealers equipped for poly tubing rolls. A twelve-inch roll diameter reduces change-over frequency during high-throughput shifts. Clear construction lets operators verify contents and seals visually without opening packages.

Questions about this item

What core diameter and roll diameter does the 3 in wide tubing need to fit on my dispenser?

The tubing is wound on a 3 in core and the finished roll measures 12 in across, so your dispenser must accept those dimensions.

How do I seal the 1.5 mil LDPE tubing after cutting a length, and what step is often missed?

Heat-seal or impulse-seal the open end; the step people skip is letting the jaws reach full temperature before the first seal.

When should I replace a roll that has been stored near the 180 Degrees F upper limit?

Discard the roll if the film becomes brittle, yellows, or loses clarity, as prolonged exposure near the max temperature degrades the LDPE.
