What this abrasive roll does

This Zoro Select coated abrasive roll uses aluminum oxide on a paper backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive attachment. The open-coat design resists loading during use. It is intended for hand or machine sanding where a very-fine P180 grit finish is required.

Practical limits of the PSA attachment

The pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds to compatible backing pads or blocks but will not adhere to every surface. Open-coat paper reduces clogging yet wears faster than closed-coat alternatives. The roll is non-vacuum so dust extraction requires a separate system.

The grit that decides fit

P180 very-fine grade determines whether this roll suits the finishing stage you are working on. Coarser stock removal or finer polishing will need a different grit. The 135-foot length and 2-3/4-inch width set the total material available for the job.

Questions about this item

How do I decide between the 45 yard roll and other lengths?

This roll provides 45 yards (135 feet) of 2-3/4 inch wide abrasive. Choose it when you need a continuous supply for extended sanding tasks without frequent roll changes.

What does the 180 grit rating mean for surface finish?

P180 very fine grit with open-coat aluminum oxide on B-weight paper produces a smooth surface ready for finishing, while the open coating resists loading on wood, paint or metal.

How does the PSA attachment work with my sander?

The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing sticks directly to compatible sanders or blocks; peel the liner and press the roll onto the pad for a secure hold during use.
