  • Open coating reduces clogging on paint, wood and metal surfaces

Professional Finishing Roll

The Zoro Select abrasive roll delivers 45 yards of P240 very-fine aluminum-oxide coated paper for woodworkers and metalworkers preparing surfaces between coats or removing light oxidation. The red B-weight paper backing resists loading while maintaining consistent cut on contoured parts.

Hand-Sanding and Light-Machine Compatibility

The 2-3/4-inch width fits standard hand blocks, orbital sanders and detail sanders that accept PSA-backed rolls without modification. Open coating reduces clogging on resinous woods and soft metals, keeping the abrasive cutting longer between clean-ups.

PSA Backing Simplifies Workflow

Pressure-sensitive adhesive lets you tear exact lengths and stick them directly to backing pads or blocks — no spray adhesive, clamps or hook-and-loop conversion needed. The 135-foot roll yields dozens of custom strips, reducing waste on small or irregular workpieces.

Questions about this item

How long does the 135 ft roll last before the aluminum oxide grit wears smooth under sustained sanding?

The roll provides 135 ft of P240 aluminum oxide on B-weight paper with open coating that resists loading, so usable life depends on workpiece material and pressure rather than a fixed time limit.

Does the PSA backing generate noticeable heat or require extra power from the sander during all-day use?

The PSA attachment adds no motor load; heat buildup comes only from the sanding action itself, and the open-coat design helps shed dust to keep the surface cooler.

What sander pad size and dust system are needed to run this 2-3/4 in wide roll?

A sander with a 2-3/4 in PSA-compatible pad is required; the roll has no vacuum holes, so it works with or without dust extraction.
