Low-density polyethylene bag details

Each tip ships inside a clear low-density polyethylene bag measuring 6 inches by 5 inches with a 1.5 mil wall thickness. The open-top, flat-bottom design has no hang hole and meets FDA compliance requirements.

Chisel tip for broad heat transfer

The chisel geometry delivers a wide contact surface for efficient heat flow across larger joints or pads. Buyers needing fine-point tips for dense surface-mount components should select a different profile.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 6" x 5" open-top poly bags onto a dispenser without the 1.50 mil film tearing?

Hold the bag by its reinforced top edge, align the 6-inch seal length with the dispenser rollers, and feed slowly; the 1.5 mil LDPE resists snagging when tension is even.

When should I replace a bag that has been used for leaded solder waste under California Proposition 65 rules?

Replace the bag once it reaches the 2000-unit case limit or shows puncture damage, because the Prop 65 warning applies to the bag's chemical content, not just the solder residue.

What is the first limit reached when sealing 2000 bags continuously with a 6-inch impulse sealer?

The 1.5 mil LDPE reaches its melt threshold first; allow the sealer jaw to cool between cycles to avoid burn-through on the 6-inch seal line.
