Heavy-Duty Vinyl Tarp

The Zoro Select tarp is a black vinyl cover sized 19 ft 6 in by 13 ft 4 in with a 20 mil thickness. It is built for traffic and parking lot applications where a waterproof, tear-resistant barrier is required. The fabric weighs 18 oz per square yard and resists mildew and UV damage.

Brass Grommets Every 24 Inches

Rope-reinforced, single-stitched edges hold brass grommets spaced 24 in apart around the perimeter. This spacing allows multiple tie-down points for securing the tarp over vehicles, equipment or ground surfaces. The reinforced hem distributes tension to reduce tearing at attachment points.

Finished Dimensions Differ From Cut Size

The finished measurements are 19 ft 6 in by 13 ft 4 in, while the cut size is listed as 14 by 20 ft. Buyers needing the exact cut dimensions should verify the difference before ordering. The material is non-breathable and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

How often will the brass grommets on the 19 ft 6 in tarp need replacement?

The brass grommets are spaced every 24 in along the rope-reinforced, single-stitched hem; under normal outdoor use they typically last several seasons before corrosion or pull-through requires re-grommeting.

What is the first limit reached when the 20 mil vinyl tarp is left tensioned in direct sun for weeks?

Continuous UV exposure gradually embrittles the 18 oz/sq yd vinyl, so the tear-resistant coating fails before the mildew-resistant treatment or waterproof layer.

How much heat builds up under the black vinyl tarp during an all-day summer job?

The opaque black 20 mil vinyl blocks light completely and absorbs solar energy, so surface temperatures can rise well above ambient, creating a hot microclimate underneath.
