Internally Lubricated Buna-N O-Ring Pack

This pack contains ten black Buna-N O-rings sized to Dash 129 for sealing static and dynamic joints. Each ring has a 1.5 in inside diameter, 0.103 in cross-section and 1.755 in outside diameter. The material is rated to 70A durometer and operates from -30 to 250 degrees F. They are metal detectable but not X-ray detectable and are not FDA compliant.

Simple Press-Fit Installation

Installation is a straight press-fit into a matching groove; the internal lubrication reduces insertion force and helps prevent cutting the seal. The most common issue is stretching the ring over sharp threads or burrs, which creates a leak path. Clean the groove thoroughly and use a compatible assembly grease if the housing has tight lead-in chamfers.

Steady-State Sealing Performance

Under continuous pressure and temperature cycling the 70A Buna-N compound maintains its compression set resistance within the stated range. The internal lubricant remains distributed through the bulk material, so friction and wear stay consistent during long dwell periods. Metal detectability is unchanged after extended exposure to the rated temperature limits.
