Viton O-Ring 15/16 in Brown PK50
This pack contains fifty Viton O-rings with a nominal inside diameter of 15/16 in and a 3/32 in cross-section. The brown seals are rated to 75A durometer and operate from -15 to 400 degrees F. They are FDA approved and metal detectable for food-processing and pharmaceutical equipment.
Replaces worn elastomer seals in static glands
Swap out degraded nitrile or silicone rings when chemical resistance or temperature range is no longer sufficient. The step up is justified when the media attacks standard rubber or when service temperatures exceed the limits of softer compounds.
Handles oils, fuels and high heat with 75A durometer
The medium-hard Viton material resists compression set in continuous service up to 400 degrees F. It is not suited for dynamic high-speed rotary shafts or for applications requiring X-ray detectable components.

Questions about this item
What groove depth fits the 3/32 in cross-section of this Viton O-ring?
A 0.103 in groove depth matches the actual width so the 15/16 in inside diameter seats without stretch or pinch.
Which way round does the brown 75A durometer ring go into a metal-detectable housing?
The round cross-section is symmetrical; press it in evenly until the 0.9 in inside diameter sits flush against the gland floor.
When should I replace the PK50 pack if the seal sees 400 °F peaks?
Inspect for hardening or cracking after each high-heat cycle; Viton at 75A typically lasts several thousand hours at the top of its -15 to 400 °F range.
