This pack contains five black Buna-N O-rings with a 4-1/8 inch nominal inside diameter and 1/4 inch nominal width. They are made from medium-hard 70A durometer material suitable for general sealing tasks. Each ring is metal detectable but not X-ray detectable. The product is new and sold as a five-piece pack.

Build fit and installation needs

The rings have an actual inside diameter of 4.1 inches and an actual width of 0.275 inches, giving an actual outside diameter of 4.65 inches. They suit grooves machined to dash number 422 dimensions. The material operates from -40 to 250 degrees F. They are not FDA compliant, so they do not suit direct food or pharmaceutical contact.

Capacity limits and headroom

The 70A durometer handles moderate pressure and dynamic movement within the stated temperature range. Buna-N resists many oils and hydraulic fluids but degrades in ozone, ketones and strong acids. Metal detectability helps contamination control in processing lines. The lack of X-ray detectability and FDA compliance limits use in inspected food or medical flows.
