Digital Gift Cards for Games, Travel and Dining

Start with the merchant, then the card type

This department is organised by the kind of merchant: game platforms, streaming services, flights and hotels, restaurants, clothing, takeout, hardware and more. Choose the merchant first, then check what the card actually is. Most are a fixed balance, but some are time-based memberships, such as a month of a game subscription. Look at gaming gift cards for console and PC platforms, and at subscriptions and memberships for time-based services.

Face value, region and redemption: read before choosing

Each card has a face value set by the issuer, and the listing shows it. Gift cards are usually valid only for the country, currency and platform they were issued for, so a card for one region may not work on an account in another. A digital card arrives as a code that you redeem once in the merchant's app or website, so treat it like cash and never share the code publicly. Check the age rating on gaming cards and the terms for expiry and what the card can be applied to.

Questions about Digital Gift Cards for Games, Travel and Dining

Can I use a gift card from another country?

Usually not. Cards are tied to the country and currency of the issuing merchant, and redeeming a card from the wrong region can fail. Check the region named in the listing against your account's region.

How do I redeem a digital gift card?

A digital card is a code, which you enter in the merchant's app or website to add the balance to your account. Each code works once, so enter it carefully and keep it private.

Is a membership card the same as a balance card?

No. A balance card adds an amount to spend, while a membership card adds a period of service, such as a month of a game subscription. The title states which one you are choosing.
