Fits only vehicles already equipped

Buyers whose Traverse uses a different radio part number or an incompatible data-stream configuration should not purchase this unit. It will not function in vehicles that require external amplifier integration or alternate communication protocols.

Dealer programming is mandatory

The radio must be activated by a dealership using the vehicle identification number before it will operate. Without this programming step the unit remains inoperative regardless of physical fit.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 23227422 head unit in my 2015-2017 Chevrolet Traverse, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the harness into the dashboard, secure the unit in the dash opening, then have a dealer perform the required turn-on programming so the vehicle data bus recognises part number 23227422.

What maintenance or replacement will the single-disc CD mechanism in the 23227422 need later?

The laser lens may need occasional cleaning with a disc-lens cleaner; if the transport fails, the entire remanufactured head unit must be replaced because the CD drive is not serviceable separately.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the 23227422 navigation and CD player?

Extended CD playback can cause the transport mechanism to overheat, leading to read errors or disc ejection until the unit cools down.
