Direct Replacement Radio

The 1 Factory Radio unit is a professionally remanufactured OEM receiver built for 2008 and 2009 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models. It delivers AM FM reception, a six-disc CD changer with MP3 playback, and an added 3.5 mm auxiliary input for portable audio sources.

Factory Unit Upgrade

This part replaces a failed or worn factory radio carrying the exact part number 8G1T-18C815-JC or interchange number 638-02909. The jump is worth it when the original unit no longer reads discs, loses audio output, or lacks an auxiliary jack for modern devices.

Part Number Verification

You must confirm the part number printed on your current radio matches 8G1T-18C815-JC before ordering; visually similar units with different data streams will not function. External amplifier configurations in some vehicles also prevent interchange, so verify compatibility using your VIN if uncertain.
