Transparent 12 ft Lamp Cord

This 12 ft transparent lamp cord supplies power to seasonal lighting and low-draw indoor devices. Its clear PVC jacket and flat profile let it blend with décor while remaining discreet under rugs or along baseboards. The 2-prong polarized plug connects to standard 125 V outlets for straightforward setup.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Rated at 10 A and 1250 W, the 18 AWG copper conductors handle continuous holiday-lighting loads without overheating. The ETL listing confirms compliance with recognised safety standards for extended operation. A single outlet design keeps the circuit simple and predictable for seasonal installations.

Thermals Noise and Power

Passive construction means no fan noise and no active cooling to manage. The cord draws only the power required by connected lights, up to the 1250 W limit. Clear PVC insulation remains flexible in typical indoor temperatures for reliable seasonal use.

Questions about this item

Does the 18 AWG cord get warm when run at 10 A for a full day?

The 18 AWG copper wiring is rated for 10 A and 1250 W; at continuous full load it will warm slightly but stays within safe operating limits for the insulation.

What must I already have to use this 2-prong polarized plug?

A standard 125 V North American wall receptacle with a polarized slot accepts the 2-prong plug directly; no adapter or ground pin is required.

Can I connect this transparent cord to my older 18 AWG holiday light strings?

Yes, the 18 AWG copper conductors and 1250 W rating match typical legacy light strings, so the cord carries the same current without overheating.
