Direct Control and large-scale missions

Direct Control allows real-time command of any single unit including equipment changes and vehicle repairs. Three evolving storylines span Europe and North Africa with realistic weapon models based on historical documents. Multiplayer and single-player modes share the same detailed environments.

Questions about this item

Does the Steam DRM and online activation mean the PC draws more power or runs hotter during long sessions?

The downloadable game itself adds no extra heat or power draw beyond normal Steam client operation; your PC's thermal behaviour depends on its own hardware and the game's CPU/GPU load, not on the DRM method.

What must I already own to activate and play the Steam key for model 46020?

You need a Steam account and a Windows PC running XP SP3 or Vista SP1 or later; the product key is redeemed inside Steam, which then downloads the game files.

Will the 19 single-player missions and multiplayer modes run on a Windows XP SP3 machine I still keep?

Yes — the minimum requirement lists Windows XP SP3, so the 19 missions and online play are supported on that OS, provided Steam still runs on it.
