85W MagSafe 2 T-Tip AC Adapter

The 2-Power PA-85W is a replacement power adapter for MacBook Pro models produced between 2012 and 2017. It delivers 20V at 4.25A through a second-generation MagSafe T-tip connector. An LED indicator shows amber while charging and green when the battery is full.

Fits 13 to 17 inch Retina MacBook Pro (2012-2017)

This adapter suits owners of compatible Retina MacBook Pro 13, 15 and 17 inch units listed in the supported model numbers. It will not work for buyers who need a MagSafe 1 L-tip connector, a USB-C power delivery brick, or a higher wattage unit for later MacBook Pro models.

20V 4.25A MagSafe 2 T-tip output

The critical specification is the MagSafe 2 T-tip connector paired with 20V 4.25A output. Only MacBook Pro models manufactured between 2012 and 2017 that use this exact connector and voltage will charge correctly with this adapter.
