The Sandlot 2 Sequel DVD

This new DVD presents the follow-up film from 20th Century Fox, set ten years after the original summer of 62. Nine new kids return to the same dusty diamond where the first gang played. The story introduces Johnnie Smalls, younger brother of Scotty, alongside a mixed group that now includes three girls. A mythical beast called The Great Fear lurks beyond the outfield fence to challenge them.

Family viewers and baseball fans

Buyers wanting a lighthearted, all-ages sports story centered on friendship and neighborhood legend will find this disc fits the bill. Collectors looking for high-definition Blu-ray quality or extensive special features should look elsewhere, as this release is a standard-definition DVD with the movie only. Viewers unfamiliar with the first film may miss several callbacks woven into the sequel.

Standard-definition DVD format

The product is a DVD video disc, not a Blu-ray, so it plays on any DVD or Blu-ray player but does not deliver high-definition resolution. The case measures .56 by 5.31 by 7.61 inches and contains the single disc. No additional media, codes or inserts are included in the package.
