The 3Com 3CNJPSE-US is a single-port Power over Ethernet midspan injector. It adds 48V DC power to an Ethernet link for compatible 3Com access points and IntelliJack switches. Network installers use it when a PoE switch port is not available.

Always-On Power Delivery

The unit accepts 100-240V AC at 50-60Hz and supplies 48V DC at 400 mA through one RJ-45 port. Signal detection is absent, so power is present whenever the injector is plugged in. The RJ-45 connector fits standard Cat5 or better cabling without adapters.

400 mA Current Limit

The injector delivers a maximum of 400 mA at 48V DC, which determines whether a specific 3Com device can be powered. Devices that draw more current will not operate correctly. Check the powered device’s specification against this limit before deployment.
