The black valve connects directly to compatible 3M filler pails for immediate use.

Replaces worn or missing original valves on 3M

Install this valve when the existing dispenser becomes damaged, clogged or lost, restoring accurate dispensing without replacing the entire pail. The upgrade is worth it whenever sealant flow becomes uneven or the original valve fails to shut off cleanly, preventing material waste and rework.

Questions about this item

What size pail does the 3M 05854 butterfly dispenser valve fit?

The valve is designed for 3M filler mechanical pails, so it threads onto the standard mechanical-pail opening used with those fillers.

How do you install the 3M 05854 dispenser valve, and what step is often missed?

Thread the valve onto the pail until it seats fully, then snap the butterfly handle into the locked position; skipping the handle lock leaves the valve loose and can cause leaks.
