High-strength threadlocking for large fasteners

Loctite 268 is a red anaerobic threadlocker supplied as a 19 g solid stick. It secures threaded assemblies from 1/4 in to 3/4 in diameter on brass, bronze, copper, iron, manganese, Monel, nickel and steel. The no-drip formula prevents migration during application.

Cures anaerobically with no-drip application

The compound cures in the absence of air between engaged threads. Working time is 5 min before the bond begins to set. Breakaway torque reaches 90 in-lb once fully cured. Compatible primer Loctite 7649 can accelerate cure on inactive surfaces if required.

Maximum thread diameter 3/4 in

This stick is formulated for fasteners up to 3/4 in diameter. Larger bolts or studs fall outside the specified range and need a different grade. Buyers who need to lock threads above that size should select an alternative product.
