General Purpose Packing Tape

This 3M 37106 packing tape is a clear, general-purpose roll designed for everyday sealing tasks. It uses an aggressive hot melt rubber-resin adhesive that bonds firmly to boxes and resists flippage during handling. The roll measures 55 yards on a 3-inch core and is supplied as a single unit. It suits offices, warehouses and home users who need reliable carton sealing.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The tape works well for standard packing applications where a strong, clear seal is required on corrugated cartons. It is not intended for specialised industrial processes that demand extreme temperature resistance, tamper-evident security features or custom printed branding. Buyers needing heavy-duty strapping tape, filament-reinforced grades or water-activated paper tape should select a different product type.

What to check before ordering

Confirm that your handheld dispenser or bench dispenser accepts a 3-inch core before purchasing. Ensure the storage area stays within normal indoor temperature ranges so the adhesive retains its tack. Verify that the 55-yard length matches your typical usage volume to avoid frequent roll changes.
