3M 4008 Double-Sided Foam Tape

This 3M 4008 double-sided foam tape suits assembly, manufacturing, maintenance and repair tasks across construction, metalworking and warehouse environments. It bonds to ABS, acrylic, concrete, glass, metal, nylon, polycarbonate, stone and wood surfaces. The acrylic adhesive on a polyurethane foam carrier is supplied as a continuous roll for indoor or outdoor use.

Sustained temperature performance

The tape maintains its bond continuously from 50 Degrees F up to 220 Degrees F, so it holds during prolonged exposure to heat or cold rather than only brief spikes. This range supports reliable attachment on equipment, fixtures and structural elements that cycle through daily temperature swings.

Half-inch width by five-yard length

The roll measures 1/2 in wide and 5 yd long, which determines how many joints or patches one roll can cover. Buyers needing wider tape or longer continuous lengths will need a different product.
