3M 4008 Double-Sided Foam Tape

This double-sided foam tape from 3M uses a polyurethane core with acrylic adhesive on both faces. It is supplied in a continuous roll measuring three inches wide by five yards long. The tape is designed for assembly, manufacturing, construction, maintenance and metalworking tasks.

Indoor and Outdoor Bonding Applications

The acrylic adhesive bonds to ABS, acrylic, concrete, glass, metal, nylon, polycarbonate, stone and wood. It performs across a temperature range from 50 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Buyers needing a thinner tape, a different adhesive chemistry or a roll without a liner should consider other options.

Series 4008 With Polyurethane Foam Core

The defining specification is the series 4008 construction with a one-eighth inch thick polyurethane foam carrier. This foam thickness provides gap-filling and conformability for irregular surfaces. The natural white colour and included liner complete the product profile for general-purpose bonding.
