Epoxy adhesive for structural bonds
3M 460NS is a two-part epoxy supplied in a dual-cartridge that mixes at a 2:1 ratio through a compatible EPX applicator and tip. It bonds ceramic, glass, metal, plastic and wood for interior or exterior assemblies. The cured adhesive turns off-white and offers high temperature resistance with impact strength.
Mixing and cure constraints
The 2:1 mix ratio requires the specified EPX applicator and mixer tip; hand mixing is not supported. Cure proceeds at ambient temperature without ovens or UV equipment. Coverage reaches 320 sq ft per gallon, so large-area jobs need multiple cartridges. VOC content is 0 g/L, yet the formulation is not low-odour.
Capacity and headroom
One dual-cartridge suits small to medium repairs and prototype builds; production runs will consume cartridges quickly at the stated coverage rate. The adhesive is not marine-grade, so continuous immersion or salt-spray environments are outside its rated use. Grey working colour helps visual inspection before the off-white cure.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the dual-cartridge version or a single-tube epoxy for a 320 sq ft job?
The dual-cartridge supplies resin and hardener in the correct 2:01 ratio, covering up to 320 sq ft per gallon without manual measuring.
What does the 460NS designation tell me about real-world bond strength?
460NS identifies this high-temperature, impact-resistant epoxy that cures at ambient temperature to an off-white finish on ceramic, glass, metal, plastic and wood.
Does the EPX applicator interface limit the mix ratio or bead size?
The EPX applicator and mixer tip deliver the fixed 2:01 ratio automatically; bead size depends on trigger pressure and tip choice, not the cartridge interface.
