Industrial Bonding Tape

3M 4910 foam tape is a clear, pre-cut square supplied in a pack of five for assembly, maintenance and repair tasks. It bonds ABS, acrylic, glass, metal, nylon and polycarbonate in automotive, aviation, construction, electronics, metalworking and warehouse environments. The acrylic foam construction provides conformable adhesion for indoor and outdoor use.

Temperature Resistant Adhesive

The tape operates from minus 31 degrees F up to 200 degrees F without losing bond strength. This wide range suits components that cycle between cold storage and engine-bay heat. No thermal throttling or softening occurs within the stated limits.

Ready To Apply Format

Each piece arrives pre-cut with its liner included, so no cutting tools or dispensers are required. Workers can peel and place immediately, reducing assembly time on production lines or field repairs. The square geometry simplifies alignment on flat panels and enclosures.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 3M 4910 foam tape squares on metal?

Clean the metal surface with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, remove the liner, press each square firmly for several seconds, and avoid stressing the bond immediately.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3M 4910 tape need later?

No scheduled maintenance is required; replace individual squares if the bond fails or the tape is damaged during service.

What is the first limit of the 3M 4910 tape under sustained outdoor heat?

The tape is rated to a maximum performance temperature of 200 Degrees F; sustained exposure above this level will degrade the adhesive first.
