Everyday office tape

The 3M 810K24 Magic Office Tape is a general-purpose adhesive roll suited to offices, homes and schools. It uses a matte finish that becomes nearly invisible on paper. Users can write on the surface with pen, pencil or marker. The roll measures 3/4 inch wide by 1000 inches long on a 1 inch core.

Capacity and headroom

The 1000 inch length supplies enough tape for high-volume tasks such as bulk mailing, filing or classroom projects. It handles permanent paper mending and splicing without yellowing. The matte surface resists glare under office lighting. Very wide sealing jobs or heavy carton closure will exceed the 3/4 inch width and require a broader product.

Build fit

The 1 inch core fits standard desktop dispensers and hand-held units. No special cutter or mounting hardware is needed. The clear adhesive leaves printed text and lines readable after application. It frees up drawer space by replacing several smaller rolls with a single value pack. Buyers who need coloured coding or extreme temperature resistance should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 810K24 tape work on older paper files without yellowing?

The original matte finish stays invisible on paper and is designed for permanent mending and splicing of documents.

How can I confirm the tape is dispensing correctly after loading?

The tape should pull smoothly, appear clear on the page, and accept pen, pencil or marker writing without smudging.

Does the value pack include a dispenser or just the 1000-inch roll on a 1-inch core?

The pack contains the 3/4-inch by 1000-inch roll on a 1-inch core; a dispenser is not included.
