General-purpose adhesive transfer tape

This 3M Scotch 92412 roll provides a clear, acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on a densified kraft paper liner. The reverse-wound construction allows easy handling and dispensing for everyday bonding tasks. It creates a permanent bond suitable for mounting and general office applications.

Users needing permanent clear bonding

The tape suits anyone wanting a transparent, double-sided adhesive film that holds lightweight items up to half a pound. It is not intended for buyers who need a removable or repositionable adhesive, nor for applications requiring higher load-bearing capacity than the stated limit.

Half-inch width by thirty-six-yard length

The single specification that decides fit is the 1/2" x 36 yd roll size, which determines total coverage and dispenser compatibility. Confirm these dimensions match your project requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1/2 inch by 36 yard roll or a different width for my project?

The 1/2 inch by 36 yard roll suits narrow, precise bonds; choose a wider roll only if you need more surface contact per strip.

What does the 0.5 lb holding rating mean when I apply the tape?

Each bonded area reliably supports up to 0.5 lb, so size the tape length to match the total weight of the item you are mounting.

How does the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on the densified kraft liner perform?

The acrylic adhesive gives a permanent, high-tack bond on contact, while the densified kraft liner releases cleanly and resists tearing during application.
