3M 97056 Double-Sided Cloth Tape White 48mm x 36yds

Double-Sided Cloth Tape 97056

3M 97056 is a tightly woven cotton and polyester blend fabric coated on both sides with an aggressive rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is designed for installers and fabricators who need strong bonds on rough or textured surfaces. The tape is supplied new on a three-inch core.

Adhesion limits on smooth substrates

The rubber-based adhesive excels on irregular materials such as carpet backing, brick, cinder block and polyethylene film. On very smooth or low-energy plastics the bond may not reach full strength without surface preparation. Performance also depends on adequate pressure during application and ambient temperature at the time of bonding.

36-yard roll capacity and headroom

A single roll provides 36 yards of 48 mm wide tape for extended runs such as carpet seaming or polysheet splicing. Large projects covering broad floor areas or multiple wall sections will require several rolls. The roll length is fixed and cannot be extended without adding additional rolls.
