3M M73 Handheld Tape Dispenser

The 3M M73 is a handheld tape dispenser designed for general office and packaging tasks. It accepts rolls up to one inch wide on a three-inch core diameter. A carbon steel blade provides a clean cut, while the clam shell handle grips offer comfortable control during repetitive sealing work.

Upgrades from basic hand tearing

This dispenser replaces the inefficiency of tearing tape by hand or using a simple stationary unit. The jump is worth it when you process multiple boxes or packages daily and need consistent, one-handed operation. Mounting hardware is included for optional fixed positioning at a packing station.

Suits high-volume shippers and office staff

It suits users who value speed and reduced wrist strain during extended sealing sessions. Buyers needing to dispense tape wider than one inch or requiring an automated water-activated system should look at different equipment categories. The blue metal construction fits standard industrial environments.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware is included for the 3M M73 dispenser?

The dispenser comes with mounting hardware for fixed installation on a bench or wall.

How do you load a roll onto the 3M M73, and what step is often missed?

Place the roll on the 3 in core spindle, thread the tape under the guide and over the carbon-steel blade; the step often missed is seating the roll fully against the flange so it unwinds straight.

Which wear parts on the 3M M73 will need replacement over time?

The carbon-steel cutting blade dulls with heavy use and can be replaced; the tape roll itself is consumed and replaced whenever the 11 in maximum diameter roll is exhausted.
