Plant-Based Kitchen Sponges 12 Count

This 12-count pack provides plant-based kitchen sponges made from white wood cellulose with scrubbers of natural and recycled fibers. They are designed for household cleaning tasks including dishes, pots, pans, sinks, stoves and appliances. The non-scratch construction makes them safe for delicate surfaces and non-stick cookware. Each sponge measures 4.33 x 2.76 x .8 inches for comfortable handling.

Sustained Use and Compostable Disposal

The porous cellulose structure dries quickly to resist odours and extends usable life compared to plastic alternatives. The manufacturer recommends replacing each sponge every three to four weeks for optimal performance. When worn out, the two halves separate so the white cellulose portion can be composted while the scrubber is disposed of separately. This design supports a lower-waste cleaning routine over time.

Easy Handling and Common Issues

The compact dimensions reduce hand strain during extended cleaning sessions and the dual-sided layout offers a gentle scrubbing face and an absorbent wiping face. No storage container is included; the sponges arrive loose in standard packaging. Users should note the scrubber layer is not compostable and must be separated before composting the cellulose half.
