What the product is

Scotch RFD7020 Extreme Fasteners are clear 1 inch by 1 inch squares that deliver a powerful bond on contact. They suit indoor and outdoor tasks on varnished, sealed, wood, metal, drywall and plastic surfaces. The easy-to-apply design needs no mess or tools, so installers finish quickly.

Deciding specification

Each set holds up to 10 pounds and lasts up to 1000 closures while resisting weather, dirt and UV. That weight capacity and cycle life tell you whether the fastener matches the load and reuse demands of the job. Clean, dry surfaces give the best bond.

How it fits a build

The squares free you from screws, nails or liquid adhesives and leave no residue when removed. They need only a clean, dry mounting area and work across the listed materials. Buyers who need a permanent structural bond or a higher load rating should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much weight can one square set actually support once applied?

One set holds 2 lbs. The full 10 lb. rating applies when multiple sets are used together.

What surfaces does the adhesive bond to reliably?

Works on varnished or sealed surfaces, wood, bare metal, drywall, plastic and more, indoors or outdoors.

What size gap or clearance is needed to fit a 1 inch square?

Each fastener is a 1 inch by 1 inch square, so allow at least that footprint on both mating surfaces.
