Purpose-built colour coding

3M Scotch 35 vinyl electrical tape in purple provides clear phase and circuit identification for electricians, maintenance crews and panel builders. The rubber-based adhesive bonds reliably to wire insulation and conduit surfaces in indoor and outdoor installations.

Temperature window and voltage limit

Continuous operation is rated from 14 °F to 221 °F, so the tape remains flexible in cold plant rooms and stable near warm busbars. The 600 V rating covers standard low-voltage control and power circuits.

Roll length and pack quantity

Each roll supplies 20 ft of 7 mil film on a 1-1/2 inch core, giving enough length for multiple splices and labels. A standard pack contains 100 rolls for stockroom replenishment.

Questions about this item

Will the 600 V rating on this Series 35 tape stay reliable on older wiring that runs hotter than 14 °F?

The tape is rated for continuous use from 14 °F up to 221 °F and carries a 600 V rating, so it remains effective on legacy circuits operating within that temperature window.

How can I confirm the roll meets the 7 mil thickness and 600 V spec once I open it?

Look for the printed "Scotch 35" legend on the violet PVC backing; that marking identifies the 7 mil, 600 V construction.

Does the single roll include a dispenser or must I buy one separately?

The package contains one continuous 20 ft roll on a 1-1/2 inch core with no dispenser; a compatible dispenser is sold separately.
