Electrical Glass Cloth Tape

3M Scotch 69 is a white glass cloth electrical tape with a thermosetting silicone adhesive. It is designed for 600-volt dry location applications in motors and transformers. The tape provides insulation and solvent-resistant protection for coil cover, anchor, banding and crossover insulation. It suits professionals needing high mechanical strength and flame-retardant properties.

High-Temperature Thermosetting Adhesive

The thermosetting adhesive increases its bond when exposed to high ambient temperatures. This delivers elevated temperature performance up to a Class N 392F (200C) rating. The adhesive is non-corrosive and maintains performance under sustained thermal load. The tape remains conformable and printable during application.

Class N 392F Temperature Rating

The 200C rating is the single specification that determines suitability for high-heat electrical insulation tasks. Buyers needing a lower temperature class or a different backing material should select an alternative tape. The tape comes in a 66 ft roll on a 3 inch diameter core.
