What this adapter does

Connect an 8-pin Lightning device such as an iPhone 5, iPad 4 or iPod Touch to an HDTV using a single white cable. The 3.94 length carries both video and audio to the HDMI port while a second Lightning female connector lets you charge the device at the same time.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Suits owners of legacy Apple gear with an 8-pin Lightning port who want a simple mirroring link to a television. Buyers who need USB-C or newer Lightning revisions, or who require 4K output, should look at a different adapter.

The spec that decides fit

The 3.94 cable length and the 8-pin Lightning male connector are the deciding factors; verify that your source device uses the older 8-pin port and that the reach meets your setup.
