4XEM Cat 6 1000ft Bulk Cable

This Cat 6 riser-rated bulk cable supplies 1000 feet of 24 AWG solid copper conductors in a four-pair unshielded construction. It is intended for installers and network builders pulling horizontal runs through vertical shafts in commercial or residential buildings. The white jacket aids visual identification in crowded cable trays. Supplied as a continuous length for termination at both ends.

CMR rating and solid-core handling

The CMR rating confirms compliance with riser fire-safety requirements for vertical pathways between floors. Solid 24 AWG conductors keep DC resistance low over the full 305 metre span while maintaining the structural rigidity needed for punch-down termination on patch panels and keystone jacks. The unshielded design reduces weight and eases pulling through conduit compared with screened alternatives. Heat generation is negligible in normal data traffic.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 24 AWG solid copper conductors in a riser-rated pathway?

Pull the cable through vertical shafts between floors, keep the pair twists intact right up to each termination, and avoid sharp bends that could deform the solid cores.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1000 ft CMR cable need later?

Inspect jacket integrity after any building work, re-terminate connections if corrosion appears, and replace the run if bandwidth testing shows excessive attenuation.
