Dynamic cardioid microphone captures drums with 50 Hz to 12 kHz response and -54 dB sensitivity
The 5 Core Snare Mic is a dynamic moving-coil microphone with a cardioid polar pattern designed to capture snare, tom and kick drums. It targets drummers and live-sound engineers who need focused pickup on a single instrument while rejecting bleed from nearby cymbals and other kit pieces.
The microphone responds from 50 Hz to 12 kHz and presents a 600 Ω impedance with a 30 % tolerance. Sensitivity is rated at -54 dB ±3 dB. Sources below 50 Hz or above 12 kHz will not be reproduced accurately, and the fixed impedance requires a preamp or mixer input that matches this value.
A hardened steel mesh grille protects the capsule from sticks and heavy handling, while the metal casing resists wear on stage or in the studio. The integrated swivel joint with a quick-release latch lets you reposition the mic quickly on a stand or rim mount without tools.

The only version available is the black model with part number SNARE MIC BLK, so there are no alternative colours or capacities to select.
At -54dB ±3dB the microphone produces a low output signal, so you will need a preamp or interface with enough gain to bring drum hits up to a usable recording level.
The XLR output requires a mixer or audio interface with a matching input; the 600 Ω impedance and cardioid pattern work with any standard XLR preamp but will not connect directly to a computer USB port.
