DeskPi RackMate T2 12U Cabinet

This 12U server rack cabinet is built for compact server clusters and home assistant deployments. Its 10 inch width saves desk space while holding standard rack equipment. The open aluminium and acrylic frame gives direct access to all installed devices. Makers and lab builders get a tidy, observable platform for their hardware.

12U height with 10 inch footprint

Twelve rack units provide 21 inches of vertical mounting room for patch panels, switches or small servers. The 10 inch width limits depth, so full-depth rackmount chassis will not fit. Acrylic side panels keep dust out while letting you see status LEDs at a glance. Cooling relies on natural airflow through the open structure.

Desk-mount open frame design

The cabinet sits on a desk or shelf without rails or floor bolting. Translucent acrylic sides reduce weight and allow optional ambient lighting inside. No forced-air fans are included, so high-heat loads need external airflow planning. The aluminium and steel construction keeps the frame rigid during frequent hardware swaps.

Questions about this item

Will the 12U height fit on my desk alongside existing gear?

At 21 inches tall the 12U cabinet is designed for desk mounting and its 10-inch width keeps the footprint small enough to sit beside monitors or peripherals.

How can I confirm airflow is adequate after installing servers in the open frame?

The open aluminium-and-steel frame with translucent acrylic sides lets you visually check fan operation and dust buildup while the design promotes natural convection through the rack.

Does the DP-0048 package include mounting rails or shelves for my equipment?

The rack ships as the 12U aluminium-and-acrylic frame only; rails, shelves or blanking panels for 10-inch devices must be sourced separately.
