What this rack is and who it suits

The Rosewill RSWR-12U001 is a 12U open-frame rack built for 19-inch networking, server or AV gear. It suits installers who need a compact frame that can be secured to a wall or left free-standing on the floor.

Build quality and mounting day to day

A heavy-duty cold-rolled steel frame carries 220lb when floor-standing and 66lb when wall-mounted. The open design lets air move freely around equipment and gives clear access to cables and rails during installation or maintenance.

What the accessories and layout change

The 20-inch depth provides room for deeper devices and cable bundles without forcing a larger footprint. No shelves, doors or side panels are included, so the rack stays light and adaptable for custom configurations.

Questions about this item

What rack standard does the 12U frame follow, and what equipment width does it accept?

The rack follows the 19-inch EIA standard, so any 19-inch wide server, switch, or AV component will mount directly to the threaded rails.

What physical space and fixings are required to mount the 20-inch deep frame on a wall?

You need a wall section at least 20 inches deep with studs or masonry capable of holding 66 lbs, plus the four included mounting brackets and lag bolts.

How is the rack assembled and secured for floor-standing use, and what step is commonly missed?

Bolt the four vertical posts together with the supplied hardware, attach the base feet, then anchor the top brackets to the wall — skipping the wall anchor leaves the 220 lb capacity unsupported.
