Four spools of 60/40 rosin-core solder wire in 0.8 mm and 1 mm diameters for electronics, stained glass and general repair
This set contains four spools of 60/40 tin-lead alloy wire with rosin cores. Two spools measure 0.8 mm diameter at 12 grams each and two measure 1 mm diameter at 15 grams each. The 1.8 percent flux content promotes clean joints on circuit boards, stereo equipment, radios and headset wiring. It suits hobbyists assembling stained glass pieces or fixing toys and small appliances.
The alloy melts between 183 °C and 266 °C (361 °F to 511 °F), giving a broad window for hand-soldering without overheating sensitive parts. Rosin flux activates in that same range so residue stays minimal, but it cannot clean heavily oxidised surfaces or replace dedicated flux for high-reliability work. Lead content requires ventilation and thorough hand washing after use; the material is not intended for potable-water plumbing or food-contact applications.
Each lightweight spool fits easily in a tool drawer or soldering station caddy. The rosin core remains stable at room temperature but should be kept sealed when not in use to prevent flux degradation. Wire stiffness at 0.8 mm and 1 mm diameters allows precise feeding through fine tips, though very dense multi-layer boards may demand thinner gauges not included here.

The pack includes two of each; use the thinner 0.8 mm wire for fine board work and the 1 mm wire for larger joints or stained glass.
It melts between 183 °C and 266 °C, flows smoothly and the 1.8 % rosin core cleans the joint as you work.
The built-in 1.8 % flux removes oxidation while you solder, so you do not need separate flux for most electronic or stained-glass jobs.
