64GB DDR4-2400 ECC RDIMM kit for Dell PowerEdge 13G

This 64GB kit contains eight 8GB registered DDR4 modules built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. It targets administrators who need to expand memory capacity in R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 or R930 platforms. The modules run at 2400MHz with CL17 latency and 1.20V operation.

288-pin registered DIMMs with single-rank x4 layout

Each stick uses a 288-pin DDR4 form factor and a 1Rx4 organisation, so the memory controller sees one rank per module. Registered buffering and ECC protect data integrity in multi-socket server workloads. No heat spreaders are fitted, allowing dense DIMM stacking in the supported chassis.

Replaces lower-capacity

Adding this kit avoids the speed penalty of mixing different module speeds, because the system clocks to the slowest installed DIMM. It also prevents the instability caused by mixing registered and load-reduced ECC types. The jump is worth it when current memory limits virtualization density or database buffer pools.

Questions about this item

Does the DDR4-2400 ECC RDIMM kit run at 2400 MHz on Dell PowerEdge 13th Gen servers?

Yes, the modules are rated DDR4 2400 (PC4-19200) and will operate at that speed on supported Dell PowerEdge R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 systems.

What physical slot and module dimensions does this 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM kit require?

Each module uses a standard 288-pin DDR4 DIMM form factor and fits the registered DIMM slots on the listed Dell PowerEdge 13th Gen rack servers; no heat spreader is present.

How are the eight 8 GB 1Rx4 modules installed, and what seating mistake should be avoided?

Install all eight modules following the server manual's channel and population order; the common error is mixing these ECC registered DIMMs with unbuffered or load-reduced modules, which is not supported.
