Six 128 GB DDR4 2933 ECC LRDIMM modules add 768 GB to Mac Pro 2019 24-core or 28-core systems
This A-Tech kit delivers 768 GB of DDR4 2933 memory in six 128 GB LRDIMM modules. It is built for Apple Mac Pro 2019 towers and rack units equipped with 24-core or 28-core Xeon processors. The modules run at 1.20 V and include load-reduced ECC for error correction.
The kit matches MacPro7,1 systems with order numbers A1991 or A2304 and supports the 2.5 GHz and 2.7 GHz Xeon W-3275M or W-3265M CPUs. It is not for earlier Mac Pro models, iMac Pro, Mac Studio or any non-Apple platform that requires standard RDIMM or UDIMM memory.
Each module uses the 288-pin LRDIMM connector and operates as DDR4 2933 (PC4-23400). The load-reduced ECC design is required by the 24-core and 28-core Mac Pro memory controller; standard RDIMM or UDIMM modules will not work in these slots.
