Product Identity

Abbott Label 2" x 1" Perforated Thermal Transfer Labels supply 5500 labels per roll across 8 rolls for a total of 44000 labels per carton. They suit operations that need high-volume, general-purpose labelling with a permanent emulsion acrylic adhesive.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The adhesive maintains performance across a service range of -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C) and meets FDA CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact. Minimum application temperature is 30°F, and the 40# basis weight supports consistent feeding during long print runs.

Upgrade Context

These labels replace non-perforated or lower-adhesion rolls where easy separation and cold-temperature reliability are required. The jump is worth it when a workflow demands horizontal perf every 1-1/8" and an 8" outer diameter on a 3" core for compatible printers.

Questions about this item

How much heat can these thermal transfer labels withstand before the adhesive fails?

The recommended service range tops out at 200 °F (93 °C), so the labels remain bonded well below that temperature.

What printer core size and roll diameter do I need to fit these 8-inch outer-diameter rolls?

Each roll is wound on a 3-inch core and measures 8 inches across; your printer must accept both dimensions.

Will the adhesive still stick if I apply the labels inside a walk-in freezer at −65 °F?

Yes — the minimum application temperature is 30 °F, and the adhesive is rated for continuous service down to −65 °F (−54 °C).
