Desk-ready electric stapler

The Swingline S7069001E is a gray AC-powered electric stapler built for office desks. It accepts a 5000-staple cartridge so users can staple many documents before reloading. Suction cup feet keep the unit stable during operation. The package includes one cartridge of 5000 staples.

Upgrade from manual or low-capacity units

Replacing a handheld or strip-fed stapler removes the need to reload after every few dozen staples. The jump is worth it when daily volume makes frequent reloading a bottleneck. This model handles up to 30 sheets of 20-lb bond per press. It does not offer high-capacity, flat-clinch or tacking functions.

Suits high-volume single-staple tasks

Buyers who staple large batches of standard-thickness pages will benefit from the cartridge system. Offices needing flat-clinch finishing, tacking capability or stapling beyond 30 sheets should look at other models. The 1-inch throat depth limits how far from the edge a staple can be placed.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 1" throat depth give me for stapling away from the edge?

The 1" throat lets you staple up to one inch from the paper edge.

What is the correct way to load the 5000-staple cartridge and what step is often missed?

Open the top-loading mechanism, insert the Swingline 50050 cartridge until it clicks, then close the cover fully; the step often missed is pushing the cartridge in until the latch engages.

Which replacement staple cartridge do I need when the included 5000 staples run out?

Order Swingline 50050 cartridges; each holds 5000 staples with 0.25" leg and 0.5" crown.
