15.6" Full HD Business Laptop

The Acer Aspire Go 15 is a new 15.6-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch display. It runs Windows 11 Home on an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. The system includes 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVME SSD for fast storage. Integrated AMD Radeon graphics handle visual output.

Suits mobile professionals needing memory and ports

This configuration suits users who need 32GB of RAM for multitasking and a wired RJ-45 connection for stable networking. The HDMI 2.1 port supports external displays. Buyers who want a backlit keyboard for low-light typing should look elsewhere. The 720p webcam covers basic video calls but not high-resolution streaming needs.

1TB NVME SSD decides storage speed and capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 1TB NVME solid-state drive. It determines both the total space for applications and files and the read/write speed of the system drive. If your workload requires more than 1TB of internal storage or a second drive bay for expansion, this laptop cannot meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I open the 15.6" chassis to add an NVME drive, and what step do people skip?

Remove the bottom screws, then gently pry the clips starting near the front edge; the step most people skip is disconnecting the 45W battery cable before lifting the mainboard.

Which component will need replacement first during the laptop's life?

The 3-cell 45W battery will degrade before the soldered 32GB DDR4 or the 1TB NVME SSD, so plan on a battery swap after several hundred charge cycles.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 7 7730U runs at 4.50GHz for long periods?

The integrated Radeon graphics share the same die, so the 15W sustained power envelope throttles both CPU and GPU clocks once the 3.5 lb chassis saturates.
